Fruity Mint Fizz - A Summer Drink Favorite

On a hot Summer day there truly is nothing better than a cold, refreshing beverage. I love getting creative with different flavored drinks. For me, the two things that make a great drink are bubbles and fruit! I thought it would be so fun to find a way to incorporate a frozen fruit bar into the mix as well, and luckily there’s an ice cream for that! I’ve partnered with Outshine Fruit Bars to put together the easiest drink recipe that is tasty for the whole family.

My family and I live in Los Angeles and this Summer has been an exceptionally hot one! We are continuously trying to find ways to cool off. A lot of time it we cool down with a frozen fruit bar or ice cold drink so, I thought it would be fun to put the two together. It also ended up being a really fun afternoon activity and a refreshing treat. Mila loves anything that incorporates sparkling water or “bubbles” as she calls them. Plus she loves the Outshine Fruit Bars. We put these together after her swim class and celebrated her progress this Summer. This simple Summer drink now has a sweet memory attached to it which I love! I love when certain foods bring back a vivid happy memory.

Recently I made these for a fun pool party play date I threw for Mila and her little friends. The little ones love it as so did the parents! You can see in the photos below how easy it is to make the liquid part of this beverage before hand. As well as prep the rimmed sugared glasses. Then when it is time to serve, have your guests choose what flavor Outshine Fruit Bar they'd like to enjoy!

Try the recipe below and make it with your little ones to celebrate Summer! This drink combines tart lemons and subtle sweet mint with a fruity twist. I also love rimming the glasses with raw sugar to add a touch more sweetness and flare. Let your little ones shake the lemon and mint together or pour the sparkling water. Have your camera handy because they will be all smiles with our Fruity Mint Fizz! We used Outshine Lime, Tangerine, and Lemon Variety Pack but there are many other flavors to pick from.
