Sparkling Apple Cider Floats

Happy Thanksgiving Week! We are excited because my mom just flew in to spend some time with us before she has to work on actual Thanksgiving. We have our days planned with fun activities and dinner prep. We are having an early Thanksgiving dinner together before she has to leave. Before we start our full week I wanted to share this simple and delicious drink/dessert idea.

Sparkling Apple Cider Floats! During the holidays our family always has this sparkling apple cider on hand. It will always remind me of my grandparents house. When I was young my grandma would let me drink mine from a real champagne flute which I thought was so special.

This is the first year that we’ve introduced Mila to it and she already loves it. I thought it would be fun to use the sparkling apple cider for floats and it did not disappoint! The apple cider paired with creaming vanilla ice cream and a cinnamon sugar rim is delicious! They are truly so simple to put together and would be so fun for the little ones (and adults) to enjoy during Thanksgiving week!

Enjoy your week and soak in all your family and friends time. This time of year always puts things into perspective. Especially right now for us in California, there are so many who have lost loved ones and their homes. We are continuously sending our love and light to those in need and doing what we can to help our neighbors. We hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving week and love hard on those around you.

Here is how we put together our Sparkling Apple Cider Floats…

Start by rimming your glasses with cinnamon and sugar. I just put two tablespoons of sugar with a few dashes of cinnamon on a plate. Then I used a moist napkin and ran it along the rim of the glass, then dunked the rim into the cinnamon and sugar. This is a small detail that goes a long way. I love the extra flavor it gives to the whole float!

Next, we add a light drizzle of caramel sauce to the inside of the glass. What is better than caramel, apple cider and ice cream!?

Next just add a few hearty scoops of vanilla ice cream!
