Mila's Reading Corner - Book Six

It is a new month and that means we are reading a new book for Mila’s Reading Corner! If you are unfamiliar with Mila’s Reading Corner you can catch up HERE! In short, Mila and I started a kids book club to introduce more diverse reads into our children’s library. We thought it would be helpful to share them with you and I created a book club activity sheet to foster what we learn with every read.

This month we are reading the ever popular Hair Love written by Matthew A. Cherry. This book is beautiful and features a little girl who is trying her best to do her hair for a very special occasion. With out giving too much away, the story takes a heartwarming turn as the little girl’s father helps with her hair. I’m sure most of you are familiar with this book, but if you don’t have it yet you must get it and add it to your book collection.
